An Essential Stop!
Location. Tucked into 200 Elm Street at street level, in the heart of the Old Campus, Durfee’s is a convenience store and much, much more. It has long been a favorite late-night option for students—during the school year it’s open 10:00 am to 1:30 am all week long. (Note that Durfee’s opens at noon on the weekends and closes at 5:00 pm during the summer).
Menu. Durfee’s offers a product mix selected especially for on-the-go Yale students and visitors. Its shelves are loaded with fresh and prepared food, snacks, bottled drinks, groceries and personal care items. Cold-pressed juices and specialty beverages are also offered. For those seeking a quick snack or meal, there are a variety of healthier-for-you options as well as fast food items like hot chicken strips, empanadas and samosas. The store also sells sandwiches and sushi.
Durfee’s accepts lunch meal plan transfers, cash, credit cards and Eli Bucks.
What Makes Durfee’s Special. An award-winning hybrid concept, Durfee’s combines fast-food service with grab-and-go snacks, beverages and other retail convenience needs. Its food is designed for portability and its Old Campus location and extended hours make it one of Yale’s favorite retail operations.
