Location. Yale students, faculty and guests looking for a spot to relax or gather near the center of campus can often be found taking a quick break at Ground Café. Located on Becton’s first floor at 15 Prospect Street, next to the Center for Engineering Innovation and Design and across from the Schwarzman Center. It’s on the right side as you enter Becton’s lobby.
Menu. A New York City-style coffee shop, Becton’s menu offers Sun Roaster’s gourmet coffee, pastries, fresh sandwiches, snacks and whole fruit from Monday through Friday. Its 44-seat dining area is a preferred gathering place for engineering students who enjoy its fresh-brewed artisan coffee and selection of teas.
What Makes the Becton Hall Café Special. Becton Hall Café’s central campus location is known for offering a respite that encourages creative discussion, idea sharing and innovation. Its dining area features a one-of-a-kind, 450-square foot digital display that consists of 24,000 LEDs. Students can connect to and project to the screen from laptop computers, projecting screen images across the East wall and dramatically up to the ceiling.
