Location. The Refectory is located on the East side of Yale’s Divinity School at 409 Prospect Street, just off the common room on the building’s second floor. During the school year, it is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 2:30 pm on Friday. (Please note that The Refectory is closed during the summer.)

Menu. Divinity faculty and students both can enjoy continental and limited hot breakfast choices, a full lunch menu and a selection grab & go items for takeout. Beverage choices include freshly brewed coffee, espresso, cappuccinos, teas, smoothies, juices and a selection of small-batch, craft sodas. There is also variety of baked items and seasonal fresh fruit.

At lunch, you can enjoy a variety of freshly made sandwiches or choose a hot entree from a menu that rotates daily and includes vegetarian/vegan specialties. Or choose to make your own salad from the salad bar. Round the choices out with freshly-made salads, soups, chili, and sushi and it’s easy to see why the Refectory is a favorite breakfast and lunch spot for those on this part of campus.

What Makes Refectory Special. Newly renovated, the Refectory’s contemporary ambience is designed to help Divinity students connect with nature and with each other. Its earth tones, wood paneling, butcher-block tables and comfortable seating offer a favorite neighborhood respite and a relaxing place that encourages discussion and debate.
