In her role, Agatha provides strategic leadership, oversight and administration as it relates to Talent Recruitment and Retention, Leave Administration, Leadership & Professional Development, Performance Review Administration, and Human Capital Management.
Prior to joining Yale University, Agatha worked in various capacities at Yale New Haven Hospital in retail, patient food services, HR consulting, employee engagement and operations. Her experience spans over 25 years of management and leadership experience in the hospitality and healthcare industry, being recognized for the “40 Under 40 Business Award for Community and Business Excellence” and featured in Business Times. Agatha earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Policy & Strategy.
Being passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives has propelled her to continuously provide mentorship, coaching, systems change, and develop others toward positive change and upward mobility. She had the privilege to be appointed as a Diversity Consultant in her prior role, where she utilized facultative and consultative skills to help improve work relationships through diversity awareness workshops, join up consultations, conflict resolution consultations and information sharing. She has also served in various roles in community activities such as the Police Athletic League (PAL) summer camp program, United Way and Greater New Haven Help Alliance. A member of the Greater New Haven Leadership class, she helped promote a self-perpetuating workshop model that delivered a positive sense of self-esteem and image to middle school students to make healthy choices.
Agatha loves spending time with family, reading, martial arts, music. She was also a background singer for Matthew Lien (Canadian Music Artist) and performed in Taiwan!
