This privacy statement (“Privacy Statement”) describes how we will treat personal information we collect from you in the course of your use of the Transact Yale University Dining application (the “Application”) developed by Transact Campus Inc. (“Transact”) and its partners. Please read this Privacy Statement carefully to understand the types of information we collect from you, how we use it, and the circumstances under which we will share it with others.

The Application was developed by Transact and its partners and has been configured for use by Yale Hospitality.

The Application provides users with a low/no contact meal ordering service whereby users can order meals from university dining halls or retail sites on campus through an app on their phone. Specifically, the Application provides a menu of available items and the user is able to select choices, pick-up location, and charge the items to the user’s meal plan account. Your information will be shared with Yale Hospitality to fulfill your order and with Transact to appropriately debit your meal plan account.

Your order and payment data are collected and transmitted from the Application to Transact or its partners systems for processing and then routed to Yale Hospitality for fulfillment. All data is encrypted during transmission and stored on secure servers managed by Transact and its partners.

The university will not share your order and payment information with anyone other than Yale Hospitality, Transact and its partners as required for order processing, fulfilment and reporting. Identified information regarding your order will be maintained on behalf of Yale Hospitality in systems managed by Transact and its partners. All records will be stored in accordance with university requirements for protecting student data and will be deleted within 5 years.
