One of the most treasured traditions at Yale is the senior dinner.
As one of the last events before graduation, between April 28th and 30th each of the 14 residential colleges hosted seniors for an evening of awards, heartfelt toasts, and delicious food.
While they may be bittersweet, senior dinners are truly a joyous occasion. It is a chance to get dressed up, reflect on their journeys, and share (and make a few more) memories with their fellow seniors, all while enjoying some of the best food Yale Hospitality has to offer. The Heads of College add personal touches, reflecting along with the students and offering congratulations and well-wishes.
This year’s menu included Little Gem lettuces and radicchio with roasted beets and herbed goat cheese, roasted beef striploin, gratineed Millefoglie of pasta, flourless chocolate cake, and chocolate cake with toasted coconut and raspberries.
We’ve been welcoming these students into our dining halls for four years, watching them learn and grow, and giving them a sense of home away from home. We are so proud of all they have accomplished so far and will undoubtedly accomplish in the future.
