The largest residential college at Yale is named for Abraham Pierson, the first rector and one of the original founders of the Collegiate School that became Yale University. Bright and airy, Pierson College was built in the Georgian Revival style with a dining hall reminiscent of an 18th century New England meeting room.
The Pierson dining room is a slight departure from many of our traditional dining halls with its bright-white wood paneled walls. Piersonites dine in a space that captures Georgian Revival style with large arched clerestory windows and walls lined with replicas of New England church pews.
